The first screen shot has a long shadow line through the building and the second one shows a white checkerboard pattern on the left of the screen. These only flash on the screen for a frame or two and I had to use FRAPS to record a video and then search through them to get a screen cap. They are totally random and I may not see one for 15-20 minutes and then I’ll see lots. I’m now using the AMD 12.9 beta driver and still seeing the same thing.
Just an update. I tried the MSI driver and it seems to be a little more buggy. I posted a video this time. I’ve tried all the AMD drivers I can find including the original 7970 RC driver and the most recent beta drivers like 12.10 and 12.11 and the problem still persists.
I have another Windows 7 system with an AMD 5970 card and it does not have the image problem but it crashes in Windows 7 after about 20-30 minutes. If I boot into XP on this 5970 system it will not crash. I don’t have a Windows XP install on the 7970 system to test with.
I posted a video this time, take a look:
This is a new capture with the AMD 12.11 driver and the glitches are smaller but are still there and with the older diver I did not see the flashing black and white checkerboard pattern that you can see at 22 and 30 seconds.
