I am running Guild Wars 2 with crossfire enabled. The first time I load the game, everything works fine (i.e. on high load, the cards run at 99% gpu usage each). I use MSI Afterburner to monitor my usage. If I close the game and run it again at a later time without rebooting my computer, the cards would have different GPU usage (in the same scenarion, it would be 99%/80%). This decreases the performance of the game compared to the first run.

I am in the process of contacting Guild Wars 2 support. I will keep you posted with any info they provide me with.

Thanks all!

It's NCSoft, it's a modified GW1 engine (which does not support Crossfire), and GW2 Crossfire scales horridly. I get 47FPS dipping towards 30 around areas with lots of particle effects.

Thank you for your reply.

I confirmed that this problem occurs only with Guild Wars 2.

Even if the scale is horrid, do you know why the behavior would be different from one instance of the game to another? Maybe another issue with NCSoft's Crossfire.
