---------------The Problem------------------
When rendering a video file in Powerdirector, regardless of what codecs and containers are used in the project and regardless of what the exported file type is, between 10 minutes 55s and 11 minutes 10 seconds powerdirector crashes.
I've been at the problem for 5 days now. I have done a fresh reinstall of windows 7 with only the necessary applications and codec packages (including the AMD codec package) to render a project and the outcome is always the same.
I've experimented with Powerdirector's own settings as well as seeking support on their forums and the outcome is always the same, including the windows event manager message.
I have taken the Radeon 5970 out and put an Nvidia GTX 580 overclocked in and the application works correctly rendering the entire video with no problems. Once the 5970 is placed back into the machine the problem is once again active.
I have used other video editing software, mainly adobe after effects, and rendered a far more stressful project with the Radeon 5970 and it completed the task with no problems. This is with after effects default, none optomized settings. Games are running as usual on the card.
Before I reinstalled windows 7 (To fix a Net Framework issue with X split) Powerdirector was working well with the 5970 and rendered with no problems.
Please help with this problem as I am losing out on money =)
