Is there a reason I am getting under 30 frames on even mid settings on Tera online (mmo)?

Other software or settings I can change to ensure the best framerate possible?

A little annoyed to spend $500 on a gfx card and it not perform as well as anticipated...  my system specs are more than decent I feel my fps should be much higher/stable than it is.  Lots of frame dips, when in towns like 20fps (towns in this game aren't as populated as a game like wow, where this would make more sense)

Please is there someone that can help with suggested settings/applications.  I installed AMD overdrive app and ran stability test, system didnt hang or reboot, appears no issues... 

I would really like some insight into why my frames are so low on mid settings?

Even if I have done something nooblike please point it out, need any advice you have

Never played the game, but the first thing you should check is GPU usage versus CPU usage.  It's entirely possible you're seeing a CPU bottleneck.  Beyond that, make sure you're not using overzealous graphics settings (especially AA).

Pretty sure this is due to a CPU bottleneck. Even if you don't hit 100% on 1 or 2 of the cores it probably means the game doesn't manage ressources efficiently enough. Try underclocking your CPU and see what impact it has on the  FPS.
