Hi,

Is it possible to use a second non-crossfired GPU as a dedicated physics processor for TressFX in Tomb Raider? (The way PhysX supports being calculated on a second NVidia GPU)

I find the framerate cost for TressFX too high on my 7950 and have got a 5850 lying around that I would like to use for this task.

In short, no.  TressFX is just a software library that uses DirectCompute.  The load will be distributed over multiple cards in Crossfire, but you can't specify a dedicated GPU as with PhysX.

Thank you for responding!

And PhysX is a library that's been ported to CUDA. I guess running TressFX on a dedicated GPU just wasn't on their to-do list.
