Q6600 @ 3.2ghz
7850 2GB 920/1250 (150/300 2D)
4x2GB G-skill PC6400 DDR2 800
Seagate Barracuda 7200.12 ST3500418AS
GIGABYTE GA-EP45-UD3R LGA 775 (rev. 1.0)
TX750w Corsair PSU

Windows 7 x64

Driver package 12.104-130328a-155980C-ATI

The issue I have is the graphics card doesn't reconognize Diablo 2 (window mode) or Minecraft (window OR full screen) as 3D games and will not kick up to the 3D speeds, I'm stuck at 150/300 and I lag because of it. Is there a way to force the games to be recognized as 3D without overclocking and disabling 2D speeds?

*edit*
After watching afterburner the game boots up and the GPU runs normal speeds, then 10 seconds or so later underclocks to 300/150 and doesn't budge again. Any idea how to fix this or perhaps a future patch to fix it?

Well I found the solution, your powerplay feature is busted and doesn't recognize games that don't stress the GPU enough to kick over to 3D mode. Because of this it affects performance and games like World of Warcraft and Minecraft WILL suffer in FPS because of it.

Download MSI Afterburn and change speeds by 1mhz will force 100% power so you wont lag in these games. After you're done lower it again by 1mhz and the powerplay will downclock to save you power.

If anyone reads this make two profiles, one profile with low clocks/voltage (to save power) and one profile overclock to game with. My stock speeds are 920/1250 and I overclocked to 921/1250 without any problems and it DOUBLED my FPS on Minecraft.
