Graphics Card
- Radeon HD 7870
- Stock settings.  Not overclocked.
AMD Catalyst Driver Version, and Driver History
- 13.10 Beta Drivers and also tried 13.9 and 13.8

Operating System
- Windows 8 Professional x64

Issue Details

-after about 2 minutes of gameplay I get an error stating 

DirectX Error

DirectX function "GetDeviceRemovedReason" failed with DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_HUNG: Device hung due to badly formed commands.. GPU: "AMD Radeon HD 7800 Series", Driver: 13.8 (13.20.11-130814a-160945E-ATI)


Motherboard or System Make & Model

Power Supply

- Corsair 800W

Display Device(s) and Connection(s) Used
-MAGNAVOX 42" TV via HDMI output on Radeon HD 7870

Applications and Games
- Battlefield 3

- Battlefield 4 Beta

*These are the only two games with this issue out of the 50+ installed*

CPU Details
- Intel i7 - 3770K @ 3.50GHz

- Stock Settings.

Motherboard BIOS Version
- the BIOS version is displayed as soon as your system is powered on (ex: ASUS BIOS 1015)

System Memory Type & Amount
- Not sure on Brand 

- 16GB DDR3

Additional Hardware
- 2x Seagate Green labeled 2TB.  

-One for OS and Office and other download files and the other is gaming and videos.

Here is a link to my PC on newegg when I bought it if you need to look further into the specs.  I added a BRRW drive and replaced the 1TB HDD with 2x 2TB HDD's.  And updated to Windows 8 Professional x64.  Those are the only modifications to it.
