I upgraded from a intigrated graphis to a Radeon HD 6350 . Windows7 detects it as a HD 7480D and installs wrong driver.  I tried selecting the driver from AMD  site and Win. 7wont let me install it . HP tech suport cant make it work . So should I give up on this and get a diff. Graphics card .  Thanks

OK , Im a newbee to getting into asking for advice. I added what I know to my profile. When I tried to manually download from AMD (drivers) yesterday I assume it was the latest Cat. version and driver for the upgraded graphics card I intalledHD6350). My Win. 7 pro has SP1. I have limited skills doing this so maybe I could get alittle slack if Im notgiving you enough info . Thanks for your time.

That will do and sorry for the delay. Well the 7480D is the integrated graphics for the APU. I would un-install what you have installed now. Please verify that .Netframe 4.5 is install correctly.

So then I would you use the drivers on the HP website for the HP Compaq Pro 6505 Microtower. It would be the 13.152.0.0000 dated 18 Oct 2013.

Hopefully this link is still good.

Otherwise try the 13.11 beta if the HP drivers don't work.

Ok, I went to device mgr and clicked the HD7480D and uninstalled the driver. im still running on the original intigated  HD5450. I did the install you directed me to and that was completed OK.After the reboot I looked display adapters and it is showing only the original (H 5450)  keeping in mind I have the HD 6350 card installed and connected to my monitor. when I look at the driver detail drop down window it is indicating version 8.821. So how do I uninstall that and start running on the  13.152 version that I installed? Thanks much for working with me on this.

You need to go to the Control Panel Programs and un-install the CCC package there. Do not go to the Device Mgr this will cause more problems.

If you are wanting the system to do a Dual Graphic with the iintegrated then you would attach the monitor to the onboard port, if not then leave it where it is at. You will have to open up the CCC and enable/disable Dual graphics.

I would run this process first (the link below) and then try a fresh install after.

GOT IT, I uninstalled  CCC  then installed latest ver. for the Radion HD (13.152).  It is still detecting my HD6350 as a HD7580, but U guess I dont care as both Graphic devices are now running on ver. 13.15 , not 8.8 as befor.  I think im good to go now . Thanks again,
