I have the AMD Radeon 5670 Graphics card that I got a few months ago. After about 1 month of using it, when I would play games, about 10 minutes into the game it would freeze and the screen would turn black and say, "ATI Display driver stopped responding but has recovered" Then the game just runs like normal, but it will happen again about 20 minutes later and repeat. I read the sticky and already checked for windows updates, made sure I had the latest DirectX, and even called tech support. I downloaded the beta driver and so far there has been 2 updates for it. Can someone please help me?

If the issue is across multiple games - it's likely not to be an issue with the game itself or the graphics driver (provided both are installed correctly).  Quite possibly, the graphics card is defective.  Or, another piece of hardware on the system is the culprit such as the motherboard or PSU.

So do I have to return it and get a new one?
