While EA (NASDAQ:EA) DICE’s “Battlefield 4 (BF4)” was received with much fanfare, the positive attention given to latest installment in the “Battlefield” series quickly turned to anger as reports of “game-breaking” bugs plagued several users having difficulty playing the newly released “BF4.”

EA DICE responded to players of “Battlefield 4” soon after the game’s release on Tuesday, after widespread reports of game crashes and “red screen of death (RSOD)” crashes left multiplayer and single player modes somewhat unplayable for “BF4” fans.

Yes that is a hot potato as far as complaints go for both types of graphic cards. This why it sometimes pays not to be on the bleeding edge.

Catalyst 13.11 Beta8 fixed a random crash issue in Battlefield 4 on Windows 8 based systems.   I am also aware of a memory-leak issue with this game that AMD is working to resolve at the highest priority possible.

I cannot get this beta to install.  I have removed the old driver, so that it was just the microsoft adapter, removed everything and tried to install again.  I am using the 13.11 beta, but that is not getting installed.  When I check the propertiesit shows the driver is from 9/10 not 10/30.  No matter what I do I cannot get the updated driver to be recognized.  I really need help.

a little more info.  My machine was fairly new so I did a refresh of it (which basically resets the machine to default, but will not remove files).  It removes programs and apps, and resets all the device info to default.  I checked the properties of the AMD driver and it was like version 8.  I then installed the beta and the info was updated to the 9/10 driver.  I downloaded the driver from the same place as the link in this thread, but it will not give me the 10/30 beta driver.

This BF4 post is a information post. If you have a issue, start a thread.
