Hi all. Can someone please give me some advice or tell me what is happening? Everytime I try to play Ghosts, the game freezes and I have to end the process. I have tried the latest driver and Beta driver but the same problem keeps occurring..... AMD display driver has stopped working and has successfully recovered. Is this a problem with my graphics card, my driver or the game. Please help me and tell me what I should do.

My PC specs

Intel core i7 3770K @ 3.5 GHz , 8GB DDR3 RAM @ 1866MHz , AMD Radeon R6850 Cyclone Power Edition

Your specifications lack enough information. Please read Sticky Read Before Posting.

Also I want to add, this driver failure only occurs with ghosts where as all my other games run perfectly fine on high settings such as crysis 3 and far cry 3...

Well with this being a new release have you tried the beta 13.11 v9.2, there are some improvements in the release notes. If the beta doesn't work either it would help if you would fill out the Issue Reporting Form found at the bottom of the download page link I supplied.

Is this the only game that is throwing that "display driver stopped responding..." crash/error???

You may want to review KB Article #27116.

Yes Mark Ghosts seems to be the only game because I can run crysis 3 on extreme at a steady rate of 45 Frames per second and black ops 2 at max graphics @ 80 FPS

Well I have decided to upgrade to a AMD sapphire radeon R7260X 2GB GDDR5 Overclocked edition Graphics cards as it seems my current graphics card is becoming a bit old to keep up with the latest games.

Also Thank you WMurdockJr

Crysis3 - if I am not mistaken - is far more graphically intensive and demanding of a system than Call of Duty: Ghosts.  I believe Ghosts is rather CPU-bound.  If you have a powerful graphics card, but a not so powerful CPU, cranking up GPU-specific graphics settings can help improve performance.  However, if you're happy with Crysis 3's performance on your system, I would think your system's specifications are therefore sufficient for Ghosts.

I think it's just a matter of patience at this point - waiting on driver updates from AMD and game patches from Infinity Ward.

thank god the latest patch from IW make my game playable with everything on ultra except Terrain Detail: Off and Anisotropic Filtering : low and screen space ambient occlusion : off .. and i get a steady 30 - 35 and in some places 45 - 50 and iam very happy with it considering my very old/weak GPU BUT this just in SP but MP still messy and sucks .. so i think AMD must have a driver to optimization this game for its cards more and more ( for SP/MP ) because this IW fix : " AMD performance improvements, reducing in-game hitching on cards with 1Gb RAM. " is not enough for me or anyone with AMD card iam afraid .. and because we all know that RAVEN have put its dirty hands in this game ( which never happend with older games in the series ) .. and we all remember how AMD fix all RAGE game ( which RAVEN make it too ) problems with one single driver .. so please .. do it again
