EDIT: This thread has been mistakenly moved to the CrossfireX section. The "Crossfire" in this thread refers to the game by Z8Games/Smilegate.

I am getting FPS drops every 2 seconds while playing Crossfire.

That meaning that the game freezes for a split second making it quite unplayable.

My old 9800GTX+ was capping out at a constant 200FPS before the upgrade. The R9 290 destroys the old card at everything but this one game. Could it be an issue with the older engine? It runs on Lithtech Jupiter 2005.

CPU never goes over 20% usage. RAM usage is normal. GPU clock ramps up to 500MHz or so and fluctuates. I have tried forcing the clock speed to 947MHz (no powertune), but that doesn't seem to be the issue here. Temps are around 75-80c.
