recently intalled an 7750 in my hp and have been using the 9.12.0.0 driver that came with it. If I update it to the current 13.9 driver the catalyst control center disappears and the only way to get it back is to reinstall the original from the disk.Is there a way to just install the driver without that CCC. TIA

Probably the older version doesn't need .NetFramework 4.5 to be installed. Since I think 13.1 and later the CCC display requires it. It needs to be installed prior to installing 13.9 CCC.

.netframework 4.5 is/was installed prior to updating so that isn't the problem. I evenn tried a new windows install. Again is there a way to just install the video driver without ccc

Yes, just uncheck Vision Engine Control Center during the installation.
