Hey everyone,

Problems for me I guess.  Anyway, got a small issue with the CCC not loading up during Windows startup.  The fans do not kick in and there is not icon in the toolbar (which I have turned on) shows up.  I reinstalled the drivers but still a no go.  I can activate it manually though by opening the CCC from the menu, and the fans kick up and the card comes alive.  Any thoughts?

In 'preferences' in the CCC...do you have 'enable system tray menu' selected?

I'm having similar issues with the last release. The one that came with the video card works fine.

After I update I can't even get the CCC to load, it doesn' even appear in the system try.

When I start it manually it says:"AMD Catalyst control center cannot be started. There are currently no settings  that cn be configured using amd catalyst comntrol center."

Am figuring it's a windows 8 thing as the one one the disk works fine in 7.

Hey Stumped!

Oh yea.  I stated that (which I have turned it on) ment "yes".  The sys. tray is on.  I guess it's my turn to be stumped

Funny thing, I am running windows 7, so this is a "hick up" with the sys. tray no loading in and the cards not spooling up, until I "right click" my menu in windows and "click" the CCC from that, then everything comes alive.

That is strange...Did you uninstall the old drivers first? If not, try this. From your computer control panel, 'uninstall a program' select AMD Install Manager. Do a 'custom' uninstall and remove the graphics drivers and control panel only. Reboot. Install > these drivers < then reboot. Make sure no anti-virus/ad block/malware programs are running. See if that helps.

That got it Stumpy!

Guess it was a driver hanging up during windows loading.  Everything is good so far now.  Just got Creative driver and MSI motherboard issues now.  Damn sound card doesn't work in PCIe slot 2.  Unfortunately, I have to use slot 2 because the Xfire set up blocks everything else.  Slot 1 has no room because of the 990 chip set being in the way.

btw, I did do a clean install of the drivers and "driver sweeped" everything clear.  I have driver auto update, but for some reason, I was installing 12.3 drivers.  Don't know what that's all about, but we got it sorted.  Anyway, thanks again!
