Very low FPS in games e.g Minecraft:

Virus Scanner ( Bitdefender Total Security ) says: All green

I Swapped video cards once with one of my other: Same issue
Any DirectX games are fine .

 

I did search the forum already and did not find a solution specific for my card;

Minecraft is single-threaded and, when things get complex, very much CPU-limited.

With a six-core processor and HT enabled, if you see the Minecraft process using 8% of the CPU, you are CPU-bound.

The low GPU usage supports that conclusion as well.

1st off thank you for the reply 

2nd Before i had my R9 290x cards i used an old nvidia 560 yet my fps was 200+ is there any explenation to that then ?

I am not Master of this topic but same happend to me, A easy sol (might help you, might)

1> If you have catalyst control center installed, right click the desktop and choose config switchable graphics 

Don't have CCC get it here        http://sites.amd.com/us/game/downloads/Pages/downloads.aspx

2>In recent apllications it must show javaw.exe set it to High Performence

3> Try and play minecraft 

                 If javaw is not shown in recent apps play minecraft for sometime and them try,

unfortunately it doesn't since switchable graphics is for laptops/notebooks.
