- VisionTek Radeon HD5670

AMD Catalyst Driver Version, and Driver History

- Current one I'm using is 14.4

Operating System

- Windows 64-bit

- AMD Athlon(tm) II X4 640 Processor (4 CPUs), ~3.0GHz

BF4 and Watch Dogs game settings: everything's set to low, resolution is set to 1280x720, windowed.

Battlefield 4 loads properly, I'm in a server and around 20-35 seconds after loading the game crashes to desktop and I get a windows error "Battlefield 4 has stopped working".

So I was advised (on Battlelog forums) to roll-back to the previous driver, 13.12, I did and BF4 ran fine.

But now I can't play Watch Dogs (it crashes the display driver).

So my predicament is that I have to use a specific driver to play one of those two games.

14.4 works perfectly with BF4.The crash is BF4 itself.Lots of people I know get it with different setups. It can happen anytime, sometimes not for days, restart the game and all is good again.BF4 is still pretty buggy.

Restarting didn't do much at all.

Even trying to play after the latest BF4 update (the one regarding netcode), the game still didn't work with the 14.4 driver.

I was only able to play after rolling back to 13.12.

I'm back to 14.4 now though, I crave Watch Dogs a lot more than BF4

It's a lot like Earnhardt said, but you should also try amd catalyst 14.6 beta1 for both games and especially for watch_dogs (it is supposed to be more optimized, though it might just be bull - can hurt to try).

I am assuming your gpu card temps at load are within reasonable limits, right ?

I'll try the beta driver, and I'll also check the GPU temp. (Didn't really think about looking at it, I would presume it'd be decently high.)
