Issue Details
I use hibernate a lot since I use a lot of files etc every day and I dont want to open everything all the time.
Since a week my pc had trouble waking up, as in I got a black screen. Monitor went on but showed nothing. Rebooting sometimes also resulted din no screen.

I held power for 30 seconds, got in some repair thingy and reboots etc are fine now. However when I play games everything is fine, (Watch_Dogs on ultra at 60 FPS) but whenever I hibernate the pc and wake it up all games run crap, like the pc uses the CPU videocard instead of my R9 290.

When I reboot all games run fine again.

We have almost identical systems. Mine is an i7-4770-K CPU, 8GB RAM, an MSI Radeon 4GB R9 290, and Win 8.1 64 bit. I have used hibernate a few times and never have seen that problem. I normally use sleep mode, though, instead of hibernate. There is one issue I get with flaky graphics, though. I play COD Ghosts MP a lot. Every once in a while, it crashes and I have to log out of the system and back in again to get back to normal. However, when I start Ghosts again, the graphics are all strange and choppy. The only way to fix it is a reboot. I've never been able to figure out why the graphics are bad, but something must be corrupted.

Just an fyi on that power supply of your's,It's something I would look at upgrading in the near future.

Min requirements for that GPU are:

ASUS-

750W (or greater) power supply with 1x 8-pin and 1x 6-pin PCI Express power connectors recommended

Gigabyte-

600 Watt or greater power supply1 with one 150W 8-pin PCI Express power connector and one 75W 6-pin PCI Express power connector

Guru 3D review of MSI card:

http://www.guru3d.com/articles-pages/msi-radeon-r9-290x-gaming-oc-review,9.html

AMD R9-290X - On your average system the card requires you to have a 550~600 Watt power supply unit.
