If I use a driver newer then the 13-1 I got the problem that tapping out of games takes several seconds. The goes completely black for 3-4 seconds, the sound over the hdmi connection cuts out too.

If I use the normal windows drivers or the old 13-1 then I got no problem. Since I often tab out of games that is a real issue for me.

At the moment I'am using a Radeon 7870HD

Maybe it's a configuration problem. Would be happy if someone got a few hints or a solution for me.

Cheers

Yes, I did a clean install.

I tested the following drivers.
Tapping out working properly:
13-1, 13-4, 13-9

Not working:
13-12, 14-4

I do not really want to try the beta drivers.

Now after all this testing I got a worse problem. I tried do use the 13-9. After 3-4 minutes of playing, the game crash and I get the message that the driver is not responding properly or a direct bosd.
Tried it with Assassins Creed Black Flag and Far Cry 3. It happens with all drivers I tested.

Edit: And it was all working properly befor I tried to install the newest AMD drivers.

Monitor your GPU temps with afterburner in-game or use gpuz.

Make sure that overheating is not the problem here.

It looks like the crashes are gone... I don’t really get why since I didn’t change anything after the last installation of the 14.4 drivers.
Heat looked good, never got over 75°C.

The Tapping issue remains.

Now that I got a bit of time, I did some further testing.

The BenQ 2460 connects with HDMI and the main screen for the extended desktop. The games I tested run in full screen mode on it. The GL2240 connects with DVI.

If I tap back into the game the second screen stays black.
Tested it with a normal desktop and no extension. There the tapping out works fine. It gets stranger and stranger. Maybe it is some configuration issue? However, with the older driver it worked fine.
