Finally bulldozer revision with 95W consumtion rating. Maybe this was the whole new stepping people have heard about.

http://www.tomshardware.com/news/amd-bulldozer-fx-cpu-cores,14810.html

With Intels Ivy Bridge being a power reduction and slight performance increase of Sandy bridge being released soon its going to just overshadow these as the whole bulldozer / faildozer reaction the public had... But going from 125W to 95W is nice.

Question still remains though are we going to see a AMD CPU pulling down 225W just north of 4.5ghz? More then likely unless this is preview of what is to come with piledriver.

But we are probably going to contiune to see BD perform badly even with these new stepping CPU's unless there's some IPC improvement tossed in.

Piledriver is right around the corner, seems like this is a sort of damage mitigation like with the Phenom I xx50 series...Until then Bulldozer is just going to be another embarrassment

I've been hearing piledriver based APU's right around the corner but I haven't heard anything from a desktop perspective.

Don't think it will affect AMD much if at all, I believe that GF can't turn out the working silicon it needs similar to how TSMC had their major screwup on the HD 5000 series

I also read that AMD is getting IBM to stamp out silicon for them as well.. But that was to improve APU numbers iirc. I just haven't seen or heard much of piledriver.
