I have a Gigabyte GTX SOC 560Ti GPU @950Mhz.

I don't have an ATI card, (I tried 1 way back, and got lost in the Catalyst Controls), I hated it!

I recently came back to AMD for the 8150, put it on a Sabertooth 990FX, and water cooled it.

I got the chipset drivers from ASUS, (because the ATI list doesn't have 990 FX listed...)

I have been trying, unsucessfully to uninstall the catalyst control center ever since!

 I have tried 'Driver Sweeper", but it leaves behind the 'fuel' (whatever that is for), folder behind, saying it is in use!?!

 My question, after venting all that is:

A. why can't I get rid of these items?

B. do I need them for my 990 FX, even with nVidia  graffix card?

  If you have any ideas, please help,

(Sorry I am an nVidia turncoat..LoL)

 I love the board, I love the CPU, ...But I love my 560ti too!!!

AMD Fuel Service is the part of the VECC which deals with the power config settings etc IIRC .. If you have an AMD chipset mainboard and an AMD CPU and have AMD drivers installed for the chipset, then that's why it's there .. You can't delete a folder containing files for an already running Windows Service, you have to stop it, delete the entry, delete the files etc ..

Somebody doesn't know how to use google or read AMD's website
