Use Coretemp or another program to monitor the core sensors, as the CPU socket sensor is almost always wrong

I just bought a new everything. Let it live for a few days and now am starting to fiddle around and getting around to overclocking. But according to three temperature readers, my cpu is reading near freezing temperatures constantly. And I can't control one of my case fans and it is really loud. Help? I saw that the temps can be like 10 degrees off but this is a bit more. I don't want to leave it alone incase it goes crazy and melts. The hard drive temp is just fine.
