I am having trouble getting my FX-4170 to run at it's full 4.2 clock speed. Win7 only shows it at 2.81. Even turning off the Quiet/Cool thing does not allow it to run any faster. I have tried running Prime95 while watching the clock speed in CPU-Z, but the most I have ever gotten was 2.814. It shows at 2800 on the POST screen, but if I use the OC utility in the BIOS, it does show at a higher clock speed, so I don't know if there is just a setting somewhere in the BIOS I don't have set correctly or what. I am pulling my hair out trying to figure this out, but I am at a loss. I do not have any other compatible hardware to test the MOBO or the CPU, so I figured I'd throw it out here and hope for the best. Thanks!
