I am an engineering student. I use a lot of computer programs such as Matlab-Simulink, Fluent, Catia ... Which processor would provide the best performance? I was thinking about the AMD Phenom II x4 965 Is better to take the processor from the FX series.
P.S. : I started composing a desktop computer from the processor
thanks

PII x4 965 and PII x6 1100T, especially when overclocked, are great choices, but a CPU is only part of the equation. Fast RAM (DDR3 1600 minimum), quality motherboard, SSD, and graphics card all help it be as good as it can be.

I recently acquired the Phenom II 965 BE and I can say its a very solid performer. Its excellent value for $$ given I found one for $90+tax+shipping which is excellent bang for the $$.

Hello, Can u help me to choice ?

I have right now Athlon X2 and Radeon HD 5450, memory DDR3, I need my computer for World of Warcraft. I see three choices.

1. Change my GPU to Shapire 7000 series.

2. Change CPU to A10 5800 3.2 GHz, ATI Saphire HD 6670 and Board MSI FM2 A55M-E33

3. Change CPU to FX 6100 3.3 GHz, ATI Saphire HD 6670 and Board MSI FM2 A55M-E33

I dont have so much money, but i pretend to buy best performance and low price, thanks people and thanks AMD for nice GPUs and CPUs, my home always AMD.

Oscar
