AMD Catalyst Driver Version, and Driver History After installing windows, I installed 12.11 Beta drivers. While troubleshooting, I reverted to 12.10 with no effect. Still running 12.10

Additional Details Fresh windows install, so no viruses. The funny part is, if I set the shader and detail graphic options to max, the fps only drops 1-2 frames. So I'm at a loss.

Also on the side note I see that this game is capable of DirectX 10 MAX, you're better off running on DirectX 11 games
Considering my old system had less than 10% of the memory and less than 10% of the stream processors, I don't think it's too much to expect my brand new GPU to at least provide the same performance.
As for EVE Online, I let the game dictate the hardware, not the other way around. I'm not going to stop playing EVE just because it doesn't use DirectX 11.... yet.
Anyone else have something constructive to say about my issue. I would chalk it up to just a poor GPU, but the 3DMark 11 score is so horribly low compared to all the reviews I've seen of this GPU, so there has to be something I can do.
Ialso have a Trinity APU destop system (A-5500) and couldn't be happier with it's performance in everything (particularly gaming) and you have an even more powereful graphics core than I do!!!
Mine tears through my older games such as Doom3, Qake4, Bioshock, all my UT games, etc at the highest settings and even newer games like DNF, Mass Effect 3, Dirt2, NFS, etc, at medium settings so yours should play them like butter!
What graphics card did you have before? What were your prevous specs?
Also 1866mhz Ram and above, makes a huge difference to the APU but your graphics score should akready be good so something seems wrong!
Have you tested any other games for comparision? Do you have the latest Catalyst Drivers and set to default?
Make sure that AA isn't set to 8x as this will have a big impact on scores.
I am currently running the Catalyst version 12.10 drivers, but I have tried the 12.11 beta and there was no difference.
My old system was an AMD 3 ghz dual core processor with an nVidia 8600GT video card (256mb) with 3 gb ram.
I downloaded Starcraft 2 and on default video settings, I hover around 30 fps.
I overclocked the memory to 1866, gpu to 950 mhz, and CPU to 4.2 ghz and only saw a slight improvement in the 3DMark 11 test.
I don't see an option in 3DMark to set Anti Aliasing, so I'd assume the test is running at what ever is default.
On a side note, I've noticed something strange since I switched video drivers a few times. When I reboot my computer, both my displays show the POST and windows loading, but once the logon screen appears, my main display stays black till I power cycle it. Not sure if that's related or not.
a better display adapter will perk up most games rather deastically compared to your current unit
I saw the HD 7970 under $350 of late. That is a spectacular display adapter for a good price.

Um, the recommended specs for EVE Online are an HD 5750, which has 720 USPs, the 5800K at 384 USPs has about the performance of an HD 5570. I would actually look not at the $350 7970 for some second rate MMO, but the $100 HD 7770.
If you realy want the extra performance then you have 2 choices, either "Duel Graphics" with a 6670 or just bite the bullet and get a good deal on a 7870!!!
I know I have Anti Aliasing disabled in EVE, not sure what CCC is to disable it anywhere else.
The only reason I keep checking 3DMark scores is to compare mine to the reviews that have been done by others using this GPU, and mine is always quite lower.

If you want to bring out meaningless synthetic benchmarks, such as Futuremark's 3DMark 11 comparison of scores The 7660D scores 1550 points, and the 5750 scores 2180, which is 29% more, 41% more if you go to the 5770. And the $100 HD 7770 I recommended, at 3410 points...
But I digress do deal with Ozz. You are using DDR3 1600, which is very slow for an APU, which benefits greatly from DDR3 2166 and faster speeds. Dropping the settings all the way down to minimum without a gain in FPS means it is not the GPU causing a bottleneck, and I bet if you use GPUz to monitor GPU usage it will not hit 100%.
After speaking with someone on Tom's Hardware Forums who was experiencing sub-par performance from the GPU, I downloaded GPU-Z, and the specs seem out of whack. It's showing a 64 bit bus width, 100 mhz memory clock, and 1.6 gb/s bandwidth. Leading us both to believe they are defective.
After resetting my CMOS, GPU-Z correctly reads the information correctly, and it appears in-game performance improved slightly, but 3DMark test only marginally improved. Going to try a memory test on the advice of someone from Tom's.

My God, I was only trying to help! The 5750 is a very low end discrete card now days, with less features and the system design of this new APU would share Ram speed and other resources with the 7660 levellling the playing field against the 5750 which simply isn't worth buying! We are trying to help him with "good" suggestions and getting a 5750 is not one!!
He cannot "Duel Graphics" a 5750 with his APU and a 5750 would at best be a side way step and and a waste of money and he would also lose many of the newer features of the 7000 series and wouldn't be worth his effort!!
A good alternative would be a 7870 and get the free games as well!
