Runs cool at around 86F, the problem is the APU.

Using the default windows drivers I have graphics but I've tried all catalyst drivers under different scenarios and the same result.

After the install and after the reboot windows will  hang, I have to go into safe mode and revert back to the default windows drivers.

How can a driver that is signed as working by microsoft not work??

The conclusion must have to do with the APU.

With graphic cards they either work or they do not, the APU works but once windows recognizes it at a radeon in device manager windows fails to load.

I tried to install windows 8 32 and 64 RTM and both had I/O errors and would not install.

All catalyst drivers throw the critical kernel-power error.

The board seems fine, no errors so it must be the China made processor.

Anybody have insight or your own horror stories?

Since nobody answered I will myself.

The kernel-power issue was because cool N' quiet was enabled in bios.

I can only assume the declocking nature was not allow the drivers to load or was ramping up and just thowing the system off.

I mentioned this in another forum here.

Now that kink is worked out the chip is actually pretty decent.

After the AC has now settled with auto fan I am seeing idle temps around 75F and max temps around 145F.

If the cool N' quiet was not the issue I have no idea, I believe I turned C6 off as well so it's one or the other or both.

I have yet to turn it back on even though it should not have any issues, it just does not seem needed so why risk it?

Everything is stable as it should be.
