Aloha,
Newbie to forum...I've rebuilt a custom PC for video editing I'm a underwater videographer. The system rests on a Gigabyte GA-MA78GM-US2H mobo (Bus speed 200MHz), BIOS V.F2, with 8GB RAM, Radeon HD6750 GPU, AMD Phenom 9650 Quad Core (2.3GHz), 2 Optical drives, 1 SSD (60GB) where WIN7 resides and 4 additional 7200RPM Seagate HDD's for all the video data.
I'm not familiar with the concept of Hyperthreading so I don't know if I need it. I've been told that since I use Adobe CS6 Editing Suite that when I render I would use hyperthreading.
I have a system report scan from an online provider that indicates the CPU is "Not Hyper Threaded". The Device Mgr>Processor screen reflects 4 separate CPU's. I also have AMD VISON Cntr Control Panel providing info that I don't quite understand, as well as Speed Fan. both of these only give me temperature with no reference to HT.
Hope some of you Cyber GURU's can help an old man understand some of this stuff. Be patient, I'm ancient...mahalo-n-aloha...konadon
