That CPU is AM3 and you could pretty much use any AM3 processor.

The 965 BE for example is now < $100

that CPU will work in some AM2+ boards as well if there is BIOS support for it.

Thanx zion .. i v got many results after visiting (ebay.uk)

and @MVB : i v contacted with Hp support .. gave them my Pc properties .. They in return sent me a list with compatilble processors .. i wish i could buy better AM3 processors but i think i ve limited choices .. However , i don't know -  after bios update - if i can use any of AM3 processors .. this what i m traying to know as i couldn't contact with Hp chat online again

for desktops I detest corporate boxes as they have more problems than solutions

I use Asus retail market boards which are far better quality and have very broad CPU support.
