Greetings AMD community,
Recently, I have been using my laptop for some light PC gaming, and my CPU temperature has been running at temperatures of 70-72 degrees Celsius. I believe the highest recorded temperature that I had was 74 degrees Celsius. Are these temperatures within the parameters of safe operation? I am not overclocking my CPU, and I am not doing anything at all to get more processing power out of my CPU.
Does anyone know what the maximum temperature is for my processor? I have an AMD Phenom II X2 N660(2 cores at 3GHz).
I have tried searching online for the maximum temperature for my processor, including AMD's website. I could not find the max temp anywhere online for my processor model. I have found max temperatures for other unrelated processor models, but the reported max temperatures vary greatly from model to model. I have found some websites claiming that the maximum temperature for some CPU models (unrelated to mine) being at greater than 100 degrees C and other models' max temperatures being less than 60 degrees C. So what is safe for my processor?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
