I tried overclocking my CPU, (amd fx-8120) but once it reaches 3200MHz, windows Aero turns off. I'm sure the jump from 3100MHz to 3200MHz didn't harm the CPU...

Now, im not sure if i'm getting this problem because im using the AMD vision engine control center instead of the BIOS.

Pretty much what i'm asking is... is there anyone who has overclocked a fx-8120 and gotten the same problem, but actually has a solution?

I had the same thing happen to me...  I was thinking it was a memory error when windows loads that was breaking Aero.  But I did not investigate it further since I decided, why bother OC'ing a 4GHz CPU?

I ended up doing the OC using the BIOS, and everything works fine. It seems to be just an issue on the driver software
