Additional specs to what I placed in my signature:
AMI BIOS (I think) ver. TBD once I get it built
WINDOWS XP PRO 32-BIT (SPd through 2013/01)
NEC LCD 2470WVX WIDESCREEN ANALOG MONITOR w/ROTATE [1920 × 1200]
I'm here to get help understanding what more I might need to continue enjoying the monitor rotation capabilities of the PCI graphics card I had on my old computer — along with the CATALYST 09.6 CD that implemented the rotation — on the new computer I'm building, using its onboard D-Sub VGA port. I am not a gamer, I am a writer and I "live" in the PORTRAIT MODE of my NEC monitor, almost never using it in widescreen mode.
Is monitor rotation available to me natively as part of the integrated HD 65XX/64XX GRAPHICS of the APU I'll be installing . . . or will I need to install my CATALYST 09.6 CD drivers in order to rotate my monitor?
Or something else? because I am hoping to be able to free up one of the PCI slots for other hardware I need to hookup, and be rid of the need for a separate graphics card altogether. Thanks.
