Hi folks,

I am new on the forum. I don't know am I right place.  I'm assembler programmer i need get to know which of AMD chip do not support Brand String function (80000002-80000004).

From the wiki: "It is necessary to check whether the feature is supported by the CPU by issuing CPUID with EAX = 80000000h first and checking if the returned value is greater or equal to 80000004h."

I know that in this way i'll find out: is Brand string supported or not? But i need the list of old AMD CPUs which do not support this function. I'm writting CPUID program. If they don't have the Brand string function so i must recognize them by signature. Need to know their names and signatures. Does anyone know where i find such informations?

download cpu-z and it will tell you what you have already
