Hello all. my (brand new) CPU fan (stock) seems to be making alot of noise. When playing Far Cry 3 on high settings the fan goes up to 5k rpm, and temp is at around 50 C, and with the 5000 rpms it is really loud and most of the reviews i read before buying it stated that it was fairly quiet.

 

is this normal or is my CPU doing something wrong?

Hahahaha stock fans are fairly quiet... yeah until you put a load on the cpu then they sound like a vacume cleaner.

So that pretty normal but you can try adding another case fan or two to get better airflow though your case, this will help to keep the fan from hitting full speed.

The best thing to do is replace the stock heatsink/fan with aftermarket one
