Hi guys, I found this forum today. But Im maybe the biggest of one of the biggest AMD fans. And I must join to this forum.

Now Im tetsing FX-4300 and next week it will be FX-6300. So stay tuned, results will be here.

For not boring time, there is my best FX-8350 in Cinebench R11.5 with AMD liquid cooling. This chip can hit 5700 MHz for validation with normal condition! I believe, with LN2 could be 8200-8300 MHz chip.

FX-8350 1.565V Cinebench R11.5

So, finally first benchmarks. FX-4300 at stock. Motherboard Crosshair V Formula, GPU Radeon HD 7870 (stock), DRAM G.SKill RipjawsX 2133MHz@1866 MHZ cl9. Seems as a lot fun, what I had in x4 965 BE days (performance is similar average +-).

So few stock benchmarks and results.

basic CPU-Z system:

Aida64 memory and cache

MaxxMem benchmark

AIDA AES

y-cruncher at 500M benchmark

Fritzchess benchmark (looks hard for FPU)

Cinebench R10 single/multi

Cinebench R11.5 multi

POV-Ray render

Hexuspi from HWBOT (very old benchmark)

1080P encoding aka x264FHD benchmark

Winrar 4.20 benchmark

Truecrypt

3D Mark11 performance

3D Mark Cloud Gate

Unigine Valley benchmark

Far Cry 2 benchmark (for CPU test, not max details)

UT3 benchmark (for CPU, not max details)

I stabilized this baby at 4916 MHz (30min stress test for review). SO not bad after all. There are few results at this clock and few at higher clocks

AIDA64-memory

AIDA64-CPU AES

Cinebench R10 single and multi

Fritzchess

3D Mark Cloud Gate

UT3 benchmark

And for fun a bit higher.
Cinebench R11.5 5 GHz+

Cinebench R10 is strange...4960 MHz gove me better score than 50xx MHz in multi

DRAM clocks at FX-6300 - no cold

WHat I got is this:
I tested older Crosshair V Formula, I believe with Formula-Z could be a bit better. I used this limits: CPUNB voltage 1.355 V, DRAM voltage 1.7 V, VDDA 2.6V only. Switching at DRAM phase x2. CPU clocks was not priority.

Superpi 16M up to 2580 MHz

Superpi 1M 2600 MHz, 2608 MHz I got bluescreen :-)

AIDA 64 for fun

Timings was most of time 11-13-14-...-300-2T, DRAm GSkill TridentX 2666 11-13-13-2t for Ivy Bridge

Ok what kind of cooling were you using to get to 5 GHz with an AMD FX-6300 ?  No way that is on air cooling.

this was with AMD liguid cooler - Antec 920 Kuhler. But I thinking, with some Noctua NHD14 is possible the same.
