Hi i couldn't find any tread relating to memory support for AMD APU system

but just asking will G.Skill RipjawsZ F3-2400C10D-8GZH can be used on the Asus F2A85-M PRO?

I kept hearing info from many forums stating on Auto settings, the AMD APU systems sets your 2400MHz RAM to only run at 1866MHz unless you OC it.

does it really mean it useless to buy RAM with speed excess of 1866MHz?

or i just need to do some setting to get back the actual speed the RAM were supported for?

sorry for the noob question since it been a while since i last touch AMD systems and i am intending to build a AMD rig using the A10 CPU but only using the onboard graphics since this rig is for mostly HD video playback and some games on the 46" TV

advise pls thanks

You can use that ram and yes you will have to OC it to get to run at 2400Mhz.

But really I don't see any real benifet for you to run 2400Mhz ram (now this is just me but, I think if you went with 1866Mhz ram with a lower Cas latency you would still have really good preformance and you won't have OC anything.

Thats my two cents
