LoL you know they said the same thing with bulldozer > piledriver. And if you avg the performance of AMD's own test. Its ~6%... I mean bleh so basically steam roller (if we take AMD's current CPU Track level ) is going to have the IPC cycle of hopefully the Phenom X4's X6's.... Which is still pathetic compaired to Nehalem (first gen I7s).
I really wish AMD would stop focusing on core's and focus on ICPs. Now one thing I will say is since AMD is going to be putting CPU's in the Xbox's and Playstations useing an X86 style CPU... Maybe we'll see console ports that don't run up to 30% slower on AMD systems then it does on intels.
Thats what I'm hoping. If that comes to pass. I'll start saving money on amd machines again.
