recently got this CPU and went to overclock it although ive noticed the frequencys are contantly in changing lowering themselve whenever there not in full use by an application. Ive looked online and found the term listed P States while searching online people mentioning this is the cause of the issue. I was wondering if there is any way to turn this off ive checked online and Have found with my motherboard the ASUS M5A78L LE that the Bios setting to turn this off isnt available but I am sure there must be some other way around this please can you help.

Thats called cool & quiet and you can disable it either though the BIOS or changing the power plan to high preformance.
