I recently upgraded from an i3 to an FX-8350 and my gaming performance has plumeted.

Even just playing Minecraft the temp rises to such levels that the game stutters and eventually crashes.  This happens with D3 as well as WOW and League of Legends but not as fast as with Minecraft.

Currently I use CPUID to get the temps that I will use in this example.

Typing out this post with youtube running in the background my temp is 18C, if I open Minecraft the temp rises to 45C.  If the temp ever goes over 50C then the game will stutter and eventually crash the closer the temp gets to 60C.

This is my current setup for reference:
FX-8350 with stock heatsink (new one is on the way)
Nvidia 560 ti
12 gigs of DDR3 ram (all the same brand)
Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit

There are 5 fans (not including the cpu fan) 3 exhaust and 2 intake.

I NEVER had these issues with the i3 and could on a regular basis run Minecraft while playing another game and streaming to twitch without issue for hours.

Any help would be great, thank you.

Sounds like the BIOS is incorrectly setting the voltage to high, or the heatsink isn't seated correctly, or it is a defective chip in that there is an air gap between the heatspreader and CPU cores.
