Hello all!

I wanted to put linux on my gaming system (to run a Minecraft server) and i stumbled across a possible problem. In Linux (Fedora 19) the light on the pump does not turn on. I cannot find anything that says whether the pump will run without the drivers. It plugs into a internal usb socket so idk if it will pull power from that usb socket and the light doesn't light up or if it's not even on.

Also it's so quiet that i. Windows i can't hear the pump... =/

Hey,

Sorry I was going back through emails and saw that I hadn't responded to this when I thought that I had!

I'm not sure what sticky you're talking about. I see one about reading CPU temps but that doesn't seem applicable here.  Maybe I missed something?

Either way here's the hardware in the box:

AMD FX-8150 Zambezi 3.6GHz

liquid cooling kit FD8150FRGUWOX

Mobo: MSI 990FXA-GD65

750W PSU (I can't get in there to check right now)

The system is dual booting Fedora 19 and Windows 8.  I just need to know if the pump will turn on when powered by the internal USB/SYSFan jumpers that it is plugged into when it's in Fedora.  Any Ideas?

There's no way the pump would not function until turned on by drivers.  The software they include allows you to control the backlight, so it's obviously not an indicator of whether or not the pump is operating.

The only real question, given that the operating speed can be controlled via software, is what it defaults to when there's no software to control it.

As for the sticky information, that's just a boilerplate response too many people here make, when they don't immediately understand the question being asked.
