I am using Windows 7 Home Premium. Do I need Windows 7 Pro to take avantage of the dual processor in the AMD Athon II X2 B24 Processor 3.00GHz.

Thanks

No you don't need any specific WIndows O/S to use the Athlon II X2 B24 CPU but your mobo and BIOS both need to support this CPU. You can go to the mobo maker's website and check to see what CPUs are supported on your mobo and what BIOS version is required for this CPU model. You can also e-mail their tech support if you still have questions.

Building a reliable PC involves more than just assembling the parts. You need to be able to configure all of the BIOS settings appropriately. This can be quite involved and frustrating as it can require a lot of trial and error with stress testing. It is however often the only means to get a 100% reliable PC.
