I've been using Speedfan to monitor my FX6350 which was reporting 65-72deg celsius when playing Battlefield 3 and DayZ and 36-40deg celsius idle temps with the stock CPU Cooler. This was with ambient temps in the low to mid teens. I then dropped my in-game graphics settings to medium and resolution (in-game as well as Windows) to 1600X900 from 1920x1080. This resulted in in-game temps hitting 58-62deg depending on ambient temperature. After adding a Coolermaster Hyper 212 Evo to my system I was getting similar temps playing with hi graphics settings, 1920x1080 resolution and ambient temps in the low twenties (an improvement I suppose). CoreTemp and HW Monitor give me completely different readings however with idle at 9-13deg Celsius and in-game 25-40deg Celsius (only used these programmes since installing the Hyper 212). I’ve now started using Overdrive which I’m assuming would be the most accurate option.
Can someone please confirm if these readings from Overdrive look right? Also, which are the important temps to monitor and what are TMPIN0, TMPIN1, TMPIN2 and TMPIN3? Would really appreciate the assist.
Recorded while playing DayZ on medium with 1600x900 resolution. Ambient temperature mid teens (Celsius) for about 1 hour.
