I do believe they made it but it's very outdated so you aren't liekly to find one.
FWIW, if you're looking to improve laptop performance an SSD makes a much bigger improvement than a CPU upgrade, IME. The 2.5" HDDs used in laptops are excrutiatingly slow. They are the slowest component in your laptop by far. Many of us have swapped an SSD in and seen a significant improvement in laptop performance.
Building a reliable PC involves more than just assembling the parts. You need to be able to configure all of the BIOS settings appropriately. This can be quite involved and frustrating as it can require a lot of trial and error with stress testing. It is however often the only means to get a 100% reliable PC.
