I am aware that servers have DDR3-1333 at up to 32 GB per stick. DDR3 seems to top out at 8192 MB per stick.

With 4 of those sticks I could move my c:\windows folder to main memory as well as games.

Or you could just use a SSD and have the same performance...

I was looking at SSD options, I can squeeze about 8 of them into my hard disk bays with adapters.

Need a RAID card to hook em all up though, RAID 0 should be a screamer

And unnecessary. A single SSD is capable of far more speed than any consumer level computer could ever take advantage of.

I wonder if games would be faster loading with even 4 SSD drives in a RAID 0 setup?
