Why are you messing with MSconfig?
Second of all, please give us some more info. A "6 core" processor isn't going to get you anywhere.

I would use other methods, instead of MSconfig, to verify all your CPU cores are detected.
- Start --> right-click on "Computer" --> Properties. What does it say there? six-core or just one?
- Device Manager --> Expand the "Processors" tab. How many scores show up on there?
- Download and install CPU-Z. Run CPU-Z. How many Cores and Threads is it reporting? http://www.cpuid.com/softwares/cpu-z.html
- Restart your computer and enter the BIOS. How many cores are detected by the motherboard BIOS?
