Look up Hotfix KB2519949 and install it. It is applicable to all AMD processors based on the Bulldozer (1 floating point 2 integer processor per module) architecture, which includes Piledriver and newer refinements.

I have installed the AMD Kaveri A10-7850 CPU on a Gigabyte GA-F2A88X-UP4 mobo w/ 8 GB Ram and the MS Windows 7 Pro 64 bit OS. I have enabled the SVM mode in the BIOS.

When I attempt to install the the Windows XP mode from the MS website I get the message "Could not complete setup. Please try again." I have made several attempts to complete the installation with the same result.

I did see a thread that there was a Hotfix for the AMD FX-series Bulldozer CPU to fix this problem. I have not seen any info on the A10-7850 CPU indicating a similar problem.

Has anyone successfully installed the MS Virtual PC with Windows XP in Win 7 Pro?

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

I downloaded and installed this hotfix KB25119949.

Still unable unable to install Windows XP mode.

Stops near the end and the same meaasge appears:

"Could not complete setup. Please try again."

How can I be sure the Hotfix is installed, I don't see it in my Windows 7 update history. Is it visible somewhere else?

 Thanks

I have an AMD FX-8350 and Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit.

When I tried to install XP Mode I also got the following message:
"Could not complete the Setup. Please try again."

I did the following to solve the problem:

1. Uninstall previous failed install of XP Mode
2. Install "Hot Fix 2519949"
3. Reboot
4. Log in again
5. Reinstall XP Mode
