AMD FX-4100 loses audio.

When I turn the computer on and go the desktop. After ten or fifteen minutes I choose go to a program with audio like Windows Media Player or System Sounds or any programs where there is audio I cannot hear the audio.

I searched the Realtek or BIOS for any clues but can up empty.

I can get around this by turning on the computer and right away going to Windows Media Player and going to Play All on list of songs. This way I can get the audio to play continually.

I have a desktop computer with AMD FX-4100 Quad-Core processor, MSI 760GM0P23 main board, and Windows 7.

It's not likely to be the CPU but more a driver issue. You should contact MSI and also install the latest audio driver for your mobo which should be on the MSI website. A Windoze update may also have created the issue so Realtek or MSI would be the best source of info.?

Building a reliable PC involves more than just assembling the parts. You need to be able to configure all of the BIOS settings appropriately. This can be quite involved and frustrating as it can require a lot of trial and error with stress testing. It is however often the only means to get a 100% reliable PC.
