I purchased a FX 8320 this week to replace my Athalon II i had. I have a Asus M5A78L-M LX3 motherboard and i updated the bios before i installed the new chip. Now the computer power comes on and i have no video coming out of my Video card which is a EVGA 650TI boast. Everything was working before i Changed the processor. Ideas?

your motherboard dose not support the 125w FX-8320 the highest it can handle is the 95w FX-8300

A good rule of thumb is to always check and see if your mobo can support the cpu you want before buying it

well, there cpu support list for that motherboard show otherwise:

FX-8300(FD8300WMW8KHK,3.2GHz,8C,95W,rev.C0,AM3+)

http://www.asus.com/Motherboards/M5A78LM_LX3/HelpDesk_CPU/

ONLY V2 of that motherboard supports it:

your motherboard -M5A78L-M LX3
