Hi every one,

I need help upgrading my PC 

I have the following : (( HP Compaq dc5850 Small Form Factor 

with Hewlett-Packard (HP) - 3029h 

NorthBridge : AMD 780 

NorthBridge : AMD K8 Bridge 

SouthBridge : ATI SB700 

socket AM2

Processor :Type : AMD Athlon X2 

Internal Specification : AMD Athlon(tm) Dual Core Processor 4450B 

Model Number : 4450B 

Codename : Lima 

Revision : DH-G2 

8G DDR2 - 800
and a ddr3 2G graphic card .. ))
.....
I want to know if i can :
1-replace my dual - core processor with a quad core one
2-replace my  DDR3 graphic card with a DDR5 one
i ve read many views about am2 am2+ .. but it confuses and i need an expert to give me the advice .. thanx alot
* If i can do the two upgrades, i ll ask later about the best advice to buy as i know it s commonly an old stuff now

Doubtful, premade computers come with limited capabilities and little to no upgrade room. HP can tell you which ones it can take, if any.

2-replace my DDR3 graphic card with a DDR5 one


NO. Small form factor does not fit standard size cards, plus its power supply is lacking.

Thanx for information .. 

i surely know that the small form factors don't fit standard graphic card size ..

and also i didn't came here to ask for HP support ..!!

i m looking for someone who knows better and has more experience ..

The ( power lack ) is a new information for me ..

Well to bad, because only HP support can tell you which processors are supported by the custom board and BIOS they used in that computer.
