I was wondering if AMD ever thought about the Ethernet adapter biz?

Yesterday I bought a mini PCIe adapter for my portable (Intel AC 7260) so I was wondering why there is no significant competition for 802.11ac adapters

I noticed a PCIe x1 adapters with 2 antenna jacks which could hold a mini PCIe adapter. With all the parts it could be a test bed.

The day before I bought a cheap USB 802.11n 300Mbps adapter so that I can use it with older machines I need to copy the hard disk from.

Once I have delivery in the coming weeks I will be better equipped with faster network performance.

See AMD NetPHY (Am79C874)

They never went into it, that chipset only does wired 10/100.

We actually use them where I work.

Physics? Ha! This is clearly magic and devilry at work. Prepare firewood! We have witches to burn!

The copper Ethernet for my netbook is also 100BASE-TX so it is sluggish for backups. I pestered HP and Intel, gigabit is what is standard

this AC 7260 is not expensive but its a new product with no clones, which suprised me given the published standards for mini PCIe slots etc.

Compared to the OEM Atheros device this new model hopefully will be categorically faster.

I looked on eBay, n150 is now worth 3.99 shipped each.
