Laptop = laptop manufacturer for driver support .. read driver release notes and AMD's webpage about Catalyst Mobility support drivers ..

I'm not the one with the laptop mate, you'll have to visit your laptop manufacturer's website and also read the AMD pages for W8 drivers etc ..

If you read the AMD Catalyst Mobility release notes, you'll see what laptops aren't supported .. those with switchable Intel Graphics being one such set of machines ..

You need to go to Lenovo's tech support and ask them about it all .. it's their machine, they should be providing drivers and driver support for it .. and they'll be able to tell you if that machine is 100% W8 compatible too etc ..

I guess the laptop forum was too hard to find?

Quote " If you experience difficulty while using the generic AMD Catalyst Mobility drivers, we recommend reverting to the driver provided by your notebook vendor. Please contact your notebook vendor for their most recent graphics drivers.

The following notebooks are not compatible with this tool:
Notebooks equipped with switchable graphics
Toshiba® notebooks
Sony® VAIO® notebooks
Panasonic® notebooks
I would also visit the Intel page: http://downloadcenter.intel.com/Default.aspx

try AMD's Win 8 Preview Catalyst package.

a lot of harware still runs on same drivers it did with Win7 so some things are fine and will update as usual. but graphics drivers are not one of them.

using Win8 Consumer Preview drivers from AMD but when I try running AMD VISION Engine Control Center I just get: "AMD VISION Engine Control Center cannot be started. There are currently no settings that can be configured using AMD VISION..."

so they may not help you anyway.

In my case I tried installing the 12.8 release for my 6900 but all the metro apps slow down to a crawl with no sound. Uninstalled and using the standard MS drivers and it all works fine.
