What do you mean?

Me laptop came with W7 and, as W8 came out, I stalled it, as it meets the system requirements.

Hi guys!

I'm no computer expert or whatsoever, and I'm having some problems since I upgraded my notebook to Windows 8 (yesterday). I apologize in advance if this isn't the right place to post this.

See, before that I ran Guild Wars 2 in medium graphics specs, but after the upgrade it's gone really choppy, and any increase on graphics will make it rather slow.

Anyone can help me solve that? My current specs are:

Intel® Core i5 (450M) – 2.40Ghz
8 GB RAM DDR3
ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4650 – 1GB GDDR3

Thanks a lot in advance!

I would expect at least a service pack before all the kinks are worked out of Win8. It should get better with updates to drivers and Windows. In the meantime try compatibility mode and see if that helps.

I did download and install this:

Didn't have time to try and tweak it yet, but it doesn't seem to be fit for W8. Any word if AMD will release drivers for these old graphic cards?

Thanks a lot for answering

You upgraded a notebook which didn't ship with Windows 8 with Windows 8? Not a great idea there.

I get it now.

Windows 8 installs 2 graphic drivers: intel HD something and the ATI driver, but uses the intel one. When I deactivate the intel HD one, Guild Wars doesn't run, so it means that W8 isn't truly recognizing my graphic card.

I've no idea how to fix it. Anyone can help?
